Review on Whatman 10462260 Cellulose Acetate Puradisc by Maurice Stavros

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good, reliable, cheap, disposable

For my purposes, ie filtering solutions from standard bottles before using them in water analysis, I get about 100 ml of filtrate per filter, which is not the case is bad considering they cost about $3 each. Nothing to describe here, polycarbonate body, cellulose acetate filter. [.] There is a chemical resistance table for anyone interested. Female luer lock coupling, luer slip tip. Your mileage may vary due to different amounts of solids in your filtration solutions. My filters were pretty clean to begin with, and I only removed contaminants from previous weighing and dilutions. Not as good as their nylon filters, but not nearly as expensive.

Pros
  • Extra sterile medical blister packaging for critical applications
Cons
  • Without automatic
