I like this jug because I was able to remove the valve on the spout. The other one I had wasn't an option so I used to spill a lot on the first few fills when it was full. It's also faster to fill, much easier to fill and the filters last much longer. Each filter shall be rated at 120 gallons. As it is a 3 liter container this means 160 refills or 6 months. Since I probably won't be able to tell a difference in taste after 6 months, I will most likely see almost all 160 fillings in one jug. That's at least double what I've had since my last one, and the filters cost about the same. This filter also comes without a plastic sleeve, so there is a lot less non-recyclable waste.
