Review on Continental Ride Trekking Bicycle 26X1 75 by James Jenkins

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good tires - they are "small " mounted on road rims.

My 2012 Specialized Roubaix was 700 x 23mm. There's not much room for big tires. This is a racing bike. I bought these tires in 700x28 thinking they would fit well but slightly larger than the race tires that came with the kit. NOT CORRECT. They measured a diameter of 23 when installed. They do GOOD on soft gravel roads though. I wanted something wider so I put a 700x28 on my wife's bike and ordered a 700x32 for myself (she didn't care about her tire size and needed tires - so I avoided returning them AND I got brown glasses! Here's why me I've been happily married for over 25 years. Please note.). The 700 x 32 tires are also "small" on my race rims and are 28 in diameter when mounted on my race rims. LOTS of ground clearance. They are more massive and handle gravel roads with ease! These are heavier tires but feel comfortable. Will not be first choice for paved road riding. But the recommended tire pressure is 70 and at 70 they soak up small bumps, gravel etc and handle roads, light gravel and limestone very well. Very sure. You are also very attractive! They're not for the carefree mount, by the way! Make sure you have tire chocks (whatever they're called). I really like her! They have turned my decided road bike into one that I can ride comfortably and safely on some gravel roads and we have LOTS of gravel roads here.
