Some packaging issues but I expect these batteries will work fine

I just received this item and here are my first impressions. Assuming the batteries do a good job and last a long time, I wouldn't regret the $55 cost (tax included). I have a couple of old Eneloop batteries that don't hold a charge as long as I think they should, although it's possible that the original 3rd party charger I bought with these Eneloops doesn't work and POSSIBLY Eneloop is longer obsolete. . This is partly why I decided to buy a new kit that includes an OEM charger. Time will tell if these batteries work well. My first negative impressions relate to the cheap case that holds the batteries. As others have said, I don't expect it to hold up very well. It's cheap, flimsy plastic, and the "lock" tabs are already worn and look like they're about to fail. Also, the storage compartments are very cheap, flimsy plastic (a bit like a box of chocolates), which makes removing the batteries a little tricky and definitely won't last. Also, four AA batteries are stored in the charger for delivery. Part of the bottom edge of each battery is damaged, essentially gnawed away from inserting the batteries into the charger. I hope this does not affect the use of these four batteries or the charger, but their packaging and quality control definitely need to be adjusted. IMO, Panasonic has to replace these items for any customer who receives their purchase this way. batteries and charger. A comment from Revain that I read prior to purchasing said the charger had no status lights. When I opened the package I thought the same thing and also found it unacceptable. But after plugging in the charger to see if batteries were charged, I found that there are indeed lights, although you can't see them until they light up. They're under a plastic case that's opaque enough to only see light when it's lit.

Pros
  • World Voltage 4 Position Charger (110-240v)
Cons
