Review on πŸ”¨ MILWAUKEE ELEC 2743 20 Milwaukee Nailer: Efficient Power Tool for Nailing Projects by Harley Franchetti

Revainrating 1 out of 5

NOTHING BUT A HEAVY DOODY: 3rd also stopped working

I've tried 3 of these now, first 2 worked great, ran about 50,000 stainless 2-1 2 -inch nails before serious problems arise. Since then they have both been sent into the warranty box. I bought a third to have a working one on hand, this one only did about 200 1-1/2" galvanized nails before it stopped working. It clicks several times when the trigger is pressed against the work piece before eventually a nail is fired and completely released. Tried different battery packs - to no avail. I'm a commercial contractor and have spent over $10,000 on Milwaukee tools. I've always been a fan, but the last 3 Milwaukee tools, the I bought were disappointing to say the least. Maybe it's time to go back to Makita. PS I would have given that 1 star if I hadn't had the other 2 which were actually pretty amazing until they died. UPDATE: Me took 3 for warranty repairs one of them once one twice and the last one 3 times none worked after repair I can't even take a single picture of them. I now have to install useless tools and 3 $900+ fairing pieces so I have to drive home to get an air nailer, compressor, hoses etc, a problem they should solve. Not a happy customer at the moment. Also for anyone wondering, the M18 shop vacuum only works occasionally, and the M12 rotary cutter gets stuck in 1/2 inch thick drywall even with a 4.0 battery.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
