I ordered two of these surge protectors to build a charging station for class. To protect the phones from accidental tearing, I attached the strips to the table with Command Velcro. I also culled out plenty of iPhone and Android charging cables to loan to students who forgot, and regular wall outlets work well for those who remember. Just two strips provide outlets for 24 phones or devices, and to give the phones a good spot to rest, we simply covered the two boxes that supplied the surge protection strips with some white thermoset stickers I got from another project left a nice base as pictured. In this way, when the phone overheats, the stickers will change color and warn us. Overall it's good value for a fairly modest investment and so far students seem very happy with being able to safely charge their phones during class. . One student was particularly pleased with one of the 2.1A USB ports, which restored their phone from almost dead to almost full in just one lesson. I myself like it when there is a place to charge my phone and it's nice to be able to share it.
