Surprised and pleased to have a floppy disk reader. Some of my older Windows desktop PCs had multiple drives/writers. Used discs for storing many documents and photos. Saved disks for future search of files, photos and documents if needed. A year has passed and new desktop PCs have been installed, I didn't even think about the functionality of the drive. I rummaged through the boxes of stuff and found many disks with photos and documents that I don't have on my current computer. Researched Revain and found this reader/writer, loved it and ordered it. It was plug and play on my Windows 10 desktop PC. The build quality of this device is excellent. The product is well designed for modern use of computers with a USB port. I hooked up this Rad/Write to my USB expansion bus and it worked flawlessly. I can read all these old documents and photos. Haven't tried writing files to floppy, not sure why it chooses to save files to floppy these days. If you have files, documents or photos stored on an old floppy disk, you need this device to be able to access those files again. It works flawlessly and is a pleasure to use on your new desktop PC.
