The roll was wrinkled so badly that the double-sided tape was wrinkled. There is no way my Roland cutter will be able to cleanly cut this strip with waves out of the ground! I even tried another piece and tried smoothing out the protective tape with my finger before sticking it onto the plotter, which was only slightly better in a couple of spots, but still clumped and burred on the cut strip. which causes a cutting problem when submitting a cut job. It might work for some plotters/cutters but definitely not for my Roland. Now I have to order OEM ribbon from Roland and wait a week or more for it to arrive while I use my XC-540 printer/cutter to do all the small cutting jobs that my Roland CX-300 normally does. Perhaps this problem with the "awning" would not have arisen if it had not been folded so tightly and stored for some time.
