Direct product. One end clips onto the seat post, the other end wraps around the handlebars on Velcro - the fabric in between wicks sweat and protects the bike. Probably works well on regular road bikes and mountain bikes, but not suitable for TT bikes. Everyone has slightly different settings, but for me these products are not suitable for the steering wheel. The material doesn't cover the cockpit, and the straps aren't long enough to go through the aerobars and reach the Velcro straps. The best I can do is clip it around the elbow pads and expose the handlebars and aerobars. I still use a towel to catch most of the sweat dripping off my head/face. In addition, this product cannot be machine washed. As you can imagine, this can be pretty gross. In short, for me the product protects the bike frame but has nothing around the handlebars.
