Review on Brondell UC300 Three Stage Counter Filtration by Robert Correa

For health benefits, use a certified system

Brondell Coral is one of three brands of filtration systems available from Revain at the time I was conducting my research that are actually effective in removing lead and other toxic chemicals from water are certified (ANSI 42, 53, 372 and CSA B483.1 certifications for lead). Some of the other product listings mention bizarre but untested technology, or they cite certifying agency names to impress you, but if you check with the certifying agencies, it turns out the products aren't listed, or only listed for ANSI 42. which only refers to the taste/dregs. So if you just want to improve the taste of your water you can choose another product, but if you want health benefits spend a little more and choose Brondell Coral UC300 or Brondell Coral UC100. Brondell compared to the other two brands in its category because it was slightly cheaper, both in terms of initial purchase and cartridge refills, as well as the extensive documentation and positive reviews. Brondell has three patented cartridges that screw into the cabinet under the sink. The instructions were easy to follow. The chrome faucet is well designed and has a small blue indicator that lights up when you open the faucet to let you know the filters are still good. They estimate a three-tier (UC300) plant life of 500-600 gallons or 12 months at 2.6 gallons per day. We have been living for a few weeks and as we use well water we are considering installing another mud filter beforehand so the Brondell filters will last longer. The plumbing kit included the adapters I needed to install the 1/2 inch plumbing system under my sink, saving me a trip to the hardware store. My installation process took almost a day, but was fairly easy (what slowed me down was removing the hardware from the soap dispenser where Brondell was supposed to be placed, since part of it was far behind the sink). The device is beautiful and compact, it is installed on the wall of the cabinet, so it takes up very little space. The single-stage Brondell UC100 is also certified to the same ANSI categories as the UC300, but its performance is about half that of the UC300, so it depends on how much water you typically use. Very happy with my purchase!
