Review on Microfiber Mop Hardwood Floor Mop by Chuck Chen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great product from a small company!

I've had this mop for almost two months now. With three dogs and children, she is used quite often. I bought this mop for frequent use. To reduce waste and save money, I don't like using disposable mop cloths and/or dusters. I just moved into a house with a tile floor. I am also physically challenged, so lugging a bucket and heavy mop around the house every day is not an option. What I love about this mop is that it arrived well packaged with very simple assembly instructions. It even came with a handwritten thank you note which was very nice. The mop is lightweight, long enough that I don't have to bend down to use it; soft microfiber cloths can easily be replaced with an additional cleaning head for a mop; It comes with two attachments each which is perfect (allows me to use one dry for dog hair and dust, one for wet cleaning and two for heavy cleaning). I love how flexible the aluminum mop head is: it swivels easily into tight spaces, I can flip it to touch up baseboards, I can even use it over a chair and over tiled bathroom walls. I use an inexpensive spray bottle with whatever cleaning solution works best for the job. I spray on the go. The scraper pad does a good job of removing stubborn food stains. Soft microfiber, used dry, perfectly picks up dog hair and light dust. When used wet, the microfiber leaves a pleasant shine and is suitable for both quick cleaning and complete house cleaning. The microfiber is thick and seems durable and seems like it will last a long time. The velcro is VERY secure, holds up well and when positioned correctly the fabric completely covers the aluminum so you don't have to worry about scratching the floor or walls. No more struggling with wipes to stay in place like with disposable wipes. This mop meets my needs well for the most part. There are a few limitations (nothing is perfect for every situation!). I live in Florida where the "dirt" that gets into the house is mostly sand. For those of you unfamiliar, microfiber doesn't pick up sand. Disposable wipes can't absorb it either. This means floors must be swept or vacuumed thoroughly before washing. I was expecting that and it's not a defect of the mop but thought it would be good to know. I will need to order more microfiber towels in the future. A wipe can't really clean the whole house unless I stop, rinse and wring out the microfiber head. Of course, if you're using a cleaning pad, you'll need to switch to microfiber to absorb excess liquid. The brush does not absorb anything. I've never used a cloth to soak up spills, so I can't comment on that. These pads are more absorbent than disposable towels, but obviously not as absorbent as a mop sponge. I love that microfiber towels can just be thrown in the washing machine! I don't tumble dry them, they air dry well and quickly. I am very happy with this mop. This is exactly what I was hoping for. I also really like that it's made by a small family business. Thanks to the convenience of Revain, I still love supporting small businesses. I know this is a long review but I used helpful reviews to make my purchase decision. The company asks for your review, but does not offer you free products or encourage your review in any way. I appreciate it and always want to know if it is so to know if I can trust a review. This is my own opinion.
