Please note that this lens is shipped directly from Japan and Panasonic America does not guarantee it. And that's why it's much cheaper than other offerings of this model. I assumed this lens was new and I have nothing to believe other than that it wasn't in the box, warranty card or other paperwork. A cover was also missing on the lens mount side, replaced with a cover for connecting the camera. And there are very small scratches on the focus ring. If all of this bothered me, I would send it back. But I feel like I got a great lens at a much lower market price, so I'm very happy with it. So this message is for your information only
