This is indeed lightweight rain shoes. I tried another supposedly lightweight rain shoes from sluggers(?) as well. That pair was heavier than this pair. Just for that reason it was returned.I tried size 7 and 8 since I wear 7.5W. Both sizes fit my feet. But after wearing a bit in a house, size 7 started little tight since I have thick feet. Size 8 is bit too big but it works due because of my thick feet. And I may wear thick socks during Winter months anyway.I purchase the pair to walk my dogs in rain and play in the wet backyard with rain or mud. This is really light and I feel like just wearing tennis shoes.
