Review on πŸ”ͺ Laxinis World Universal Knife Block: Sleek Stainless-Steel Design with Scissors-Slot, Countertop Storage - Holds 12 8”-Blade Knives (Knives not Included) by Lawrence Feldman

Almost perfect - wish there was a scissor hole in the front or side.

This product is ALMOST perfect. I had a large wooden knife holder that could hold 3 or 4 knives and took up a lot of space. I decided to free up some space and ordered this because it looked smooth. I wasn't disappointed with either the looks or the footprint. It looks very nice and tidy and takes up a lot less space on my counter. Knives should be staggered to allow for handles. Depending on blade and handle size, you may not be able to use all of the slots. Some of the slots are a bit loose so the knives don't appear to be clamped in the holder. It doesn't bother me too much, but I can see that it annoys some people. The real issue for me is that the kitchen scissors hole is on the back. So if you have bigger knives, the scissors are hidden there. If you don't use the scissors a lot, maybe you don't mind and you can't just flip them because there's a seam (boo) at the back. I was so bothered by this that I ordered another knife holder with scissors on the side (I liked it) but it was huge so I went with this one.

Pros
  • KEEPS KNIVES SHARP: Keep your blade sharp and sharp; no more blunt ends! The lower parts of the knives do not touch the surface of the block, which keeps the sharpness of the blades. To keep the blades razor sharp, insert the blunt edge against the frame, not the sharp side into the block.
Cons
  • Almost OK
