Valid. Until

This is my first such device. I bought a portable unit because I have very little space in the sink area and can keep it in my closet until I need it. While I don't particularly enjoy using it, it certainly removes dirt from my gums that I never knew I had. This stuff is a substance that leads to plaque and gum disease. A filling with water is (barely) enough to clean the mouth. It should be used over a sink as any water that gets on the gums will run out of the mouth during use. Two complaints: (1) the plastic head that snaps on top is a bit difficult to insert; If you get it wrong, it will start to come loose as you use it, so you'll need to be extra careful to fully activate the connection. (2) If I leave the head on when washing the device, tiny bits of food will inevitably get into the head, which cannot be removed, rendering it unusable and requiring head replacement. So I always remove the head before washing the device which solves this problem. UPDATE 4/11/17. My device stopped working completely last week. When I turn on the switch nothing happens. In this case, there was no indication in the product book. Unfortunately my one year warranty expired 4 1/2 months ago. A product that only lasts 16 months looks pathetic.
