Review on 23.6"" Washer Suspension Rod Kit & Springs Replacement For Whirlpool Kenmore Amana Maytag W10780048, W10400895 - 4Pcs Each by Brandon Patterson

My 10 yr old Kenmore top loading washer began banging uncontrollably during the spin cycle….so violently that the machine was moving across the floor and breaking the hard plastic lip at the top of the drum. I figured I would replace the machine, but there is currently a shortage of appliances and couldn’t get what I wanted. I needed a working washer right away, so I did some quick research about what could cause the problem and learned that the cause is usually the suspension rods. I then found a step by step YouTube video on how to replace them, and was surprised at how easy it was. I ordered this set because it included 4 small centering springs. After disassembling the machine I found that my model washer didn’t have centering springs, but some apparently do. The repair itself took about 1 hour, and these new rods totally solved the problem. PS: You probably shouldn’t try the repair if you’re not handy.
