Definitely for hard floors only.

Don't try this on carpet. Tile, linoleum, laminate, hardwood - yes, it'll work just fine for all of these, without any issues whatsoever. It did take a couple days to fully unroll - I stacked it under some books and now it's just fine.I do think this size is a bit small for a rolling chair - I have to be cautious not to roll off of it.4 stars due to the smaller size and the multiple days to get it to unroll, but a decent value option.
