At first I was content with the bowls and containers I already had on hand, but when I decided to keep baking bread I purchased this inexpensive dough storage lid, Rubbermaid Commercial Products FG572324CLR 6-Quarter Round Storage Container, along with the bucket. They work great together, but currently they must be ordered separately - the lid does not come with the bucket and vice versa. The bucket and lid are durable. The lid fits perfectly on the bucket and everything fits on one of the tall shelves in my fridge. I took the 6 liter bucket because I was afraid the 8 liter bucket wouldn't fit in my fridge. When I ordered them the bucket arrived before the lid and I covered the bucket with plastic wrap. It's enough in a pinch, but the lid works a lot better and is worth the few bucks it's worth. Another reviewer reported that this lid does not fit a 6 liter. Bucket. Fits perfectly in my 6 liter bucket. The seal is fairly tight, but part of it can remain unsealed while the dough is actively venting gases. While I'm sure this bucket can be used for more than just bread dough, it's used constantly in my house as a container for both. Knead and store the dough.
