The price at the time of purchase did not bite. Worked fine on my old Asus board. recognized the 8gb with widows 7 and waited for my new board to arrive for a new pc build. pulled it out of the old board, put the new board in another computer case, which I upgraded with a new processor and graphics card. everything worked out of the box. Since I upgraded an old computer from Win 7 32bit to Win 10 32bit, it only recognizes 4GB RAM 3. So now I need to reinstall Win 10 64bit. not great as I haven't thought about it but 30 minutes of my time and I'll be fine. recommend every day
