Works perfectly! However.

I recently purchased this product and am in the process of assembling my desk. Everything seemed to work properly and then I installed my operating system. It kept throwing me a BSoD. The error was the same every time and I looked around. Most solutions consisted of running a memory test and I did. No problem. But my computer kept freezing and restarting. Changed RAM slots, no improvement. I decided to grab a stick and my computer stopped freezing. I've been playing with it for hours and it…

I've had good experiences with Patriot

I recently purchased a refurbished HP 4GB small form factor computer. I figured I'd just add 4GB. Unfortunately, it was loaded with four 1GB modules. So I bought these. I've had good experiences with Patriot. They were easy to install and worked great after reconfiguring the PC from 4GB to 8GB on boot.

Installs easily but is a little painful to load

So first of all, yes, you have to press firmly to make the RAM cards snap into place. And yes, it's best to include matching pairs. They installed great but booting was a little painful. I kept getting memory errors. So I just put in one card (there were 2, I bought 2), booted it into the bios, put in the second one and rebooted and so on with the rest. Finally he recognized it. (This is a Dell XPS 8700 computer) But one day they seem to work fine. I doubled my RAM and it shows up correctly in…

Cool looking Patriot RAM!.

Just installed on my factory Compaq CQ5811 desktop (HP owns Compaq) in about 7-8 minutes from start to finish including removing monitor, speakers, ethernet cable etc. Took out two old storage/protruding RAM and popped these two new Patriot Blue sticks (yes, they're blue on both sides of each stick) in place, popped them straight into the dual slots, then plugged everything back in and switched the PC to Windows "wipe data." and "proceed to restart the system" press enter and I went to my home…

That does not work. Best in Memory

. I've been using Patriot for many years. I was really amazed when I plugged in the memory modules and nothing, no sound, no screen, nothing. I checked the motherboard manufacturer, it was on the approved list. Old 4G RAM reconnected, returned. Reinstalled Patriot, nothing. The patriot forgot to sign this signature store.

Didn't work even though they were on the list!

I bought these after much research to make sure they would fit my HP 6000 Pro. In any case, they were a perfect match for what I had, just 2GB more per card than currently installed. After two installs they no longer work. They didn't even load. I contacted tech support and went through the troubleshooting process. After I updated my BIOS to the latest version and tried again to no avail, tech support determined they were not compatible with my computer. The Patriot website lists them as…

Recommended: built-in parts

The price at the time of purchase did not bite. Worked fine on my old Asus board. recognized the 8gb with widows 7 and waited for my new board to arrive for a new pc build. pulled it out of the old board, put the new board in another computer case, which I upgraded with a new processor and graphics card. everything worked out of the box. Since I upgraded an old computer from Win 7 32bit to Win 10 32bit, it only recognizes 4GB RAM 3. So now I need to reinstall Win 10 64bit. not great as I…
