Review on 🔌 Enhanced Packard Control Transformer Class Mount for Efficient Power Control by Douglas Davis

This transformer is heavier than you might expect. I would say at least a pound. Other than that it's perfect for the high power transformer I need. Its weight is due to the large copper windings. This device is not cheap. I use it to simultaneously press 11 sprinkler valves that are powered by 24 VAC and are 110 feet from this transformer. I use a Raspi Pi and a couple of relays to be as cheap as possible and have a wireless controller wherever I'm local. The Pi has a 24VAC to 5VDC transformer and I have no problem powering it and all the valves. This unit doesn't get as hot as I expected and I don't need a star capacitor as the performance is great. clean and strong sine wave. All valves open perfectly and reliably for more than 20 minutes without any problems. I saved a lot of money building my own sprinkler system and this transformer meets all of my 24VAC power needs.
