Review on Xspec 60 Qt XL Roto Molded High Performance Camping Cooler: Ultimate Durable Outdoor Overland Cooler by Jay Kowal

Revainrating 4 out of 5

For those who want a wire basket source

Since my XSPEC 60 QT. cooler did not come with a basket (dry goods shelf), I did some research and bought this (Igloo Wire Basket- 128-165 Quart, Black) off of revain and it fit well. Although it covers more than half of the top of the cooler, what I like is that I can put a 12 pack carton of eggs in to longways. Just thought it would save some of you the hassle since another recommendation (Nice CKR-512207 Cooler Rack 75 qt) which is smaller, seems to be out of stock at the time of this writing. Hope this helps.** Update - 09/29/2022OK I may have spoke a little to soon. After inserting the basket and closing the lid, you can tell you have to force the lid down with more pressure than normal to close it. (It makes me wonder if this will happen with any basket in this model of cooler. The molding of the lid fits all the way into the grove where the basket sits. You don't get as tight of a seal with the basket in (in the XSPEC 60 model) as there was water in the cooler and I tested if it would spill more with the basket in. It did spill more. Look in the pictures I uploaded. One picture is with the basket in and more water spilled. I took the basket out and their was less water spilled. I like this cooler and it retains ice well, but for putting this particular basket in it, I'm finding it troublesome.
