This is a great grinder that gives perfectly even grinds. You simply pack most standard supermarket sized coffee beans into the top chamber, dial in the size you want (it varies wildly), dial in the amount you want (usually perfect for a standard espresso machine). , with a few small exceptions where you get into a very fine grind) and it does ALL the work. They are gravity fed and stop when the right amount is reached. When everything is ready, take it out from the bottom and pour it into the coffee filter. I usually leave it running when washing and filling the pot. The only thing that confuses me is that the plastic pickup chamber is inherently magnetic (static electricity) so it can be a bit messy, but at this price point I expect that and won't let it interfere with my work.
