This is such a good jacket for the price. We have a wide range of beginner and outerwear for our children and we buy them because they are durable and of good quality. These jackets are no exception. We have two of them - one for the younger ones and one for the older ones. They're not warm enough for really harsh winters, but they're great for cold fall and spring and mild winters. There is no hood but our kids wear hats and prefer them to hoods so it suits us. Well constructed. The black color prevents stains, dirt etc. from rough play on the playground and in the forest. In general very satisfied!
