Review on ESI Ultimate Tailgate Seal with Taper Seal: 10ft for Truck Caps & Tonneau Covers - Secure & Weatherproof Solution by Brian Olson

Use this product to seal my triple trunk lid on my 2018 Ram 1500 to protect my bunker gear and breathing apparatus from the weather and cockpit. The product itself seems well made and definitely sticky, however there are some instructions. I used both the paper form provided and the sheets posted on their website but they didn't explain very well and left a lot to be desired in terms of sealing. The most exposed part was the upper corners of the tailgate, which previously had little sealing when placed as shown. I ended up going back, adjusting and adding more tape to get a better seal. The worst part, however, is the lower seal where the tailgate meets the truck bed. It worked fine at first, but after using my tailgate about a dozen times, it curled and came loose from rubbing against the tailgate. I would definitely buy it again, although it's a little pricey it's the best I've found so far. I just wish it had been done right the first time.
