The walls that surround your heel makes the shoe very difficult to put on as I had to insert the heel cup into the shoe then put on the shoe. With socks the sides would bunch up. Could not place it on my heel then slip on my shoe as it fell off. Then I find out I can't return it. That part is not obvious as I wasn't looking for it since almost everything is returnable on Ebay. Tuli's is a quality brand but the design for these are just odd. I ended up cutting the sides off with scissors, leaving just the pad, and then placing them in my shoe. That worked much better and they do help cushion my heel and alleviate pain.
