Review on A**IMS Power REMOTEHF** Flush Mount Power Inverter Remote On-Off Switch - Enhanced for SEO by Nick Morales

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Worked fine for a while. But most likely it is NOT a remote switch.

I still don't understand if it was the switch, the cable or the inner workings of my inverter, but I made a pigtail and a plug to check the switch, everything seems ok be . It may be months before I return to the inverter for further testing. The following may help someone troubleshoot a remote that has stopped working. Here is the procedure to test the remote on/off switch for AIMS Power REMOTEHF flush mount inverter. Assemble the RJ10 test cord, the four wires are numbered 1,2,3,4, their colors are black, red, green and yellow, look straight at the end of the connector with the locking tab facing up, 1-4 of left to right, and black is 1. With a continuity tester between black and red, you should see or hear current flowing with the power button held down. The red LED can light up with my Fluke continuity tester with wires connected between black and yellow, the white LED turns green and black, please note that the polarity of the white LED is reversed to the black wire or pin. If everything works and your remote inverter won't start when you press a button, the problem is probably with the inverter or the cable IF it worked originally like mine. Good luck Notes: The RJ10 is smaller than the regular plug used on a phone cord (RJ 12), but they are easy to find on Revain or eBay. RJ10 was used in many wall phones between handset and base station.
