Review on IDataLink Maestro HRN RR GM5 GM5 T Harness by Tyler Cash

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Required wiring harness for iDatalink Maestro ADS-MRR interface.

Required Wiring Harness for iDatalink Maestro ADS-MRR Interface for 2008 Silverado 2500HD. Connectors appear to be of good quality, assembled neatly. Allows speakers to be connected to the wire harness coming out of the main unit (high level inputs) or to the RCA connectors (low level inputs) if your main unit has the appropriate outputs. Due to the many different connectivity options for different vehicles, you will need to go to the iDatalink website for instructions. The included speaker is used to play the turn signal, backup sensor warning tones and any other factory chime tones as the factory head unit sends the tone to the factory set speakers. The chime volume is as good as the factory chime (should not be loud or change in volume with your music). The sound is not identical to the factory sounds, but quite acceptable. I don't use Onstar in my car but as far as I can tell there is a connector to keep all the factory controls. I used an optional seat belt (AVGM5) sold separately to keep the entertainment screen in the back seat. Overall, I haven't lost a single factory feature with this harness.
