Review on Enhance Performance with AirAid 300-925-1 Modular Intake Tube: A Comprehensive Review by Mike Bogan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exactly what I expected!

Installation Thoughts: I installed this intake manifold (along with a larger throttle body) on my 2006 Dodge Ram last month before a 2800 mile trip. I chose it over the regular CAI because I wanted to keep the stock airbox in place since I ride gravel roads quite a bit. This part is well made and easy to assemble. Everything went as expected, except that the rubber joints became very stiff due to the recent near-freezing temperature spikes. Some WD40 on the inside edges of the joints and some time in front of the heater in the garage made the job easier. A NOTICE. It has nothing to do with the quality of the product. Performance: I cannot fully comment on the performance gain as this item was installed at the same time as the upgraded throttle body. I definitely hear more inductive noise, but it's nothing offensive and is most noticeable when the throttle is open more than 2/3. The extra intake noise reminds me of an old-school open-top 4-bbl V8. Add that to the performance exhaust and I love how my truck sounds now. Summary: I chose this Airaid product after researching options for my truck for over a year. I am very happy with the quality and ease of installation of this product and would recommend it to others.
