We ordered two sets to make Christmas gifts. Two parents and three children (ages 10, 8 and 3) spent over 2 hours experimenting together with different ways of making candles and consumed two sets in that time. Very simple - even a 3-year-old can make a beautiful candle with a little help. A gifted 8-year-old child was particularly fond of making candles. Each set contains approximately 20 different sized candles. The leaves are easy to handle and the wax has a pleasant but not overpowering beeswax scent. A blow dryer on a low setting helped soften the wax, which had become a bit brittle in our cool house. The product could have been improved with some additional instructions on how to make cones, striped candles, etc. However, our kids figured it out quickly. with strategies for creating a variety of patterns and designs (a popular type was Christmas tree cones with colorful "decorations" rolled up from scraps like red and white candy sticks). We have not yet tested how they burn.
