I took this set to Mexico for my 30th birthday to snorkel with my best friend. After several tests, we finally felt comfortable with the radio-controlled car key, our cell phones, money, banknotes and tickets. EVERYTHING was COMPLETELY dry. If SOMEONE says otherwise, it means they didn't seal the package tightly and carefully. We didn't snorkel, but we did snorkel and dove very deep into the water in our swimmable mermaid tails (which take us very deep compared to fins). Nothing got even a little wet for a whole WEEK. And it never felt like breaking or falling. My girlfriend and I are pretty skinny. I had to fasten it to the narrowest length of the buckle and she had to tie a knot. Again very, very thin. After binding there were no problems.
