I bought the u1000 and I bought the radar module just because I want to use it. This radar module is used and works only in power saving mode. I use cloud features most of the time so my u1000 company stays on the windshield most of the time, but sometimes I use it to get fewer false hits. This greatly extends your vehicle's recording time and battery life. It is more intended for those who park cars there for several days. If you drive your car every day then honestly it's a waste of money.
