Review on πŸŽ’ Stylish and Practical: North Face Women's Jester Black Backpacks by Jason Unruh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for my purposes! Excellent quality!

Okay so I use reviews like crazy and research all the backpack crap (to be honest everything) before I buy this one. I already have a backpack for school, but I'm not only a student, I'm also a doctor. My school backpack is great for my purposes, but not for other needs. I need a backpack that I can use for travel (my husband and I travel frequently to and from the US, by plane, cruise, etc.). What I was looking for: a place for a makeup bag, a change of clothes including tennis shoes, an iPad, a cell phone, essentials like Band-Aids, Benadryl, lip balm and pens and pencils, space for a book or two and maybe a coloring book and pens. Hospital for shifts and when traveling as a carry-on .This backpack is great !Regarding the frontmost quick access pocket.Yes the pocket is only the depth of the entire backpack and I see potential for the top of the backpack to become heavy when full and the main compartment isn't. I'm not worried about that. That's how it is. This compartment for me (first choice) is great for quick access to my mobile phone, passport, iPod, travel medication, etc. I carry these things when my backpack is empty don't hit it so that it opens wide. That's great! Part of what I love about it is that I can fit more into the bottom of my pack since that little quick access front pocket doesn't quite reach! Hooray! Perfect for a pair of tennis shoes, a jacket, a towel, or anything else that provides a good "base" to stand the backpack up vertically. It's deep enough and wide enough for me to fit a lot of things. If I need more than this backpack can hold, I have to use a different type of bag. I like that the laptop sleeve is small and integrated into the large main pocket. I will not use this pack for my laptop. I have another one for one that has been carefully and specifically designed for a laptop and not for extra clothes, shoes and other stuff. That's why I bought this backpack! The laptop slot is great for a passport, iPad, coloring book, atlas and/or reading book while still separating my clothes. Please note: This is NOT a laptop backpack. A small pocket fits in if needed, but it doesn't provide security for long laptop trips. Finally, this bag is lightweight and has great stretch pockets on each side for my coffee mug and water bottle! Hooray! Durability: I just got it, but Northface gear has never let me down. I hope this review will be useful to someone else! It may be a regular school backpack, but it doesn't stand up to the abuse and wear and tear of school books, laptops and notebooks. Look for a heavier, softer, electronic design if that's what you're interested in.
