The smell of this carpet is terrible, I stupidly opened it and put it in my house. This made my whole family sick, nauseated, headaches and just plain unwell. I thought we had the flu. I think I've been lucky, I've bought a lot of rugs and never had any problems. The smell is hard to describe, but whatever it is, it's poisonous. I have a very large rug in my garage, on blocks with fans blowing above and below. It's been there for a week and smells less toxic, but the smell is still there. I ordered another rug 2 days after ordering the first one. This rug was just delivered today, I smell the same without opening it, so this one is coming back. I really like the rug for the color and softness but not the smell.
