Now I tried this product on a thick carpet that had dry urine when I got this thing. Unfortunately it didn't work for me. I poured the mixture over a whole bottle where my new adoption is marked, let it dry for 48 hours, covered with plastic to let it soak in, after opening it still smelled awful. I managed to save the carpet with a gallon. Vinegar and drag into the driveway, pour the vinegar and water mixture onto the carpet, soak before hosing down and vacuum dry. A bit extreme but it was a rug my wife bought a month ago and she loved it. So either that or with my new puppy in the kennel, which in retrospect would probably be a little less painful.
