Check your connections! Everything else is fine
After reading the reviews I did what EVERYONE should do and checked the contacts. Of course, K and L were swapped. Luckily for me the ground and power cables were fine. After playing around with this, it turned out that this does not fit the 2017 Ducati Hypermotard. The ports are much narrower on my bike and the plastic secondary alignment pin is missing. I found the correct adapter on Ebay for $3. I am ashamed that I did not check my bike before ordering.
