Review on Precision Router System Kreg PRS1045 by Mark Caperton

Not worth the money.

This fence has an immediate design flaw. The four screws that attach the stop to the regulator head are too short and strip the threads in the soft aluminum. I was able to fix this by turning longer screws to replace the ones that came with the kit, but that's actually ridiculous. There is no way to hold the screws that adjust the surfaces of the guard rails. Although they use a wing nut, you still need a screwdriver to adjust them. The adjustment paddle is VERY stiff so the guard moves every time you unlock it. And the locking mechanism on the other end is a crappy plastic cam mechanism. It's almost impossible to fine-tune the operation of the locking devices, and it's actually difficult to simply align the stop with a knife with bearings because the locking lever is very tight. I wish I had paid a little more and got Jessem's fence and table. I ended up getting the Jessem lift anyway and had to modify the mounting plate on the Kreg table to fit. Well, live and learn.

Cons
