Hot or cold, it lasts for the required time. But leave the food in there for a few days and it will finally soak. But now I know its limitations and am very happy with how I can use it and then just throw it in the trash. I've had chicken turkey with excellent results. They hold up very well. They help me keep my kitchen chores to a minimum as I have less time to wash dishes in the sink. Definitely saves time. Updated (April 22, 2021). Added pictures. Four stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
