Review on πŸ“Ÿ Garmin fenix 6 Pro - Multisport GPS Watch with Mapping, Music, Grade-Adjusted Pace Guidance, and Pulse Ox Sensors (Black) by Tim Solorzano

Disappointing: too many flaws for the money

As for the functions of the watch, they are mainly tailored for cyclic sports loads - running, skiing, triathlon, and so on. Unfortunately, there are quite a few options for dials, I chose the data display to fit my needs with difficulty - add. information (steps, pulse, etc.) in many versions of the dials is displayed in very small print. Of the additional features, there is payment by cards - Garmin Pay, a music player, a flashlight. By the way, the work of the functions standard for sports watches upset me. I never got notifications from messengers on my watch, and call notifications work clearly, and all the rest did not appear. In AmazFit Bip, costing an order of magnitude (!) Less, there was no such problem, all notifications were easily configured and came. I still did not understand the algorithm for counting the rises to the floors. When the iPhone shows that in a day I climbed three floors, Fenix can show 22. How he measures this, I have no idea. The steps show either 20% less than the iPhone, then 20% more. But pedometers on wearables are all very inaccurate. So, to the conclusions. On the positive side, I would like to note the design, basic sports functionality, acceptable battery life. Now to the disadvantages: from a watch for $ 850 you expect the flawless performance of its functionality and convenience. We do not expect the iPhone 11 Pro to make poor calls and not deliver SMS. Moreover, in order to use an iPhone, you do not need to be an expert. But Fenix 6S does not show notifications from instant messengers (this, by the way, is discussed on the forums), does not show the hours and minutes of the current time during training (you need to set this to a special hot key), and has a short strap. My conclusion is that this watch is not worth the money. You can look for products from other brands cheaper by 2-4 times, which will be better and more convenient.
