Review on Delta RP54977 Lahara Aerator Chrome by David Cash

Check with Delta first

We have a Delta Dryden single hole bathroom faucet. When I looked for the part on the Delta website it listed that part number so I ordered it. Not suitable. So I called Delta. It turns out there are 2 different aerators. One is 1.5 GPM and the other is 1.2 GPM. It's a 1.5 GPM aerator. They will send me the 1.5 and 1.2 filters to see which one fits. Since the mesh is green when I remove it, I'm guessing it's using 1.2 GPM. Two more things to know. If you have a Delta faucet, it's guaranteed for life, so if you call, parts are free. I don't know how soon they will arrive, but eat for free, right? Also, it took me a hell of a long time to turn off one of the aerators. Our crane is over 7 years old. So I put the vinegar in a paper towel bag, held it tight to the aerator and tied it to the faucet head. The vinegar will help loosen the calcification. After that I drank some wheat, but I got it. Don't lose the fun tool that comes with the aerator. You have to take this off and put it back on. (Bad design, Delta folks. Aesthetically it looks good, but practically it's PITB. Back to the drawing board!)
