Review on Powerful and Secure: SANUS On-Wall Low Profile 1080J Fireproof πŸ”’ Surge Protector with 6 AC Outlets & 3 Lines of Protection by Michael Keitt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Affordable high level surge protector

There is a big difference between an extension cord and a surge protector. Power strips and multipliers without surge protection provide no protection. For the same price, or maybe even less, this 6-socket multiplier includes a surge protector with a visual indicator that it's working. How is this one different? In general, the higher the Joule rating that a surge protector provides, the better the level of protection it offers to connected devices from power surges and surges. This offers 1080 joules. Some others offer less than half that amount. If you've ever lost your TV, computer, or other electronic device to power surges, you know what I mean. I'd rather play it safe. The center mounting screw is optional on standard sockets and the wall plate must be removed for mounting. It also fits in decor style sockets but does not attach to it with a screw.

Pros
  • Supplied with 3 protection wires for an extra layer of security, cheap surge protectors only protect one wire.
Cons
  • Some little things
