Review on ROCKBROS Winter Cycling Shoe Covers - Windproof Bike Bicycle Overshoes for Men & Women, Thermal Warmers by Larry Lackings

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fantastic price for sport

I am very pleasantly surprised at how well these inexpensive shoe covers work. When I ride my bike in the winter, the only real problem I've had has been cold toes. I tried these overshoes on a 5 hour ride where the temperature varied between 36 and 44 degrees and my feet stayed comfortably warm the whole time (thick wool socks included). Most importantly they keep the wind out which is a real problem when cycling! You really suit me. I wear SPD-like stubby shoes (2 holes) size 11.5 and size 9-12 fits perfectly. They go very easily and stay without fuss. Once they're on, I just forget they're there. I saw several reviews that said the zipper broke. Look, it's a little lightning. You cannot use a zipper to pull the two sides together. You need to pull the two sides together by hand and only then close the zipper so as not to strain the zipper. It's pretty easy folks! Be gentle and the flash will be ok. (You know, if it was a bigger zipper, fat people would complain about how heavy it is.) Use your head. On a mountain bike, you'd better look elsewhere. However, if you just want something that will protect your shoes from mud splashes and the like, then this is fine. I rode them through some rough puddles and they didn't let that much spray on my feet. They came clean enough and wiped them down with a damp cloth. They cost about a quarter of the price of fashionable overshoes. I don't mind paying for expensive bike gear when needed, but figured the overshoes would just get dirty and wet and covered in road salt from winter riding, so why pay $80? They work great and when they get too uncomfortable with salt and dirt I can just replace them. Good deal and I definitely recommend them to winter cyclists.
