Where I am has an underground parking garage with pipes overhead. I drive a pickup truck so I'm a little higher than the cars. Every time I drive through the garage and go out the overhead door, my old antenna hit everything. It was unsettling as it always sounded like I was doing damage to my vehicle. This stopped that so now I'm not hearing those noises. And it works well. I work in iowa where it's mostly open fields and farms. Thought I might lose reception due to its shorter size but was quite pleasantly surprised the learn it actually gets better reception than the factory antenna! Good stuff. Well worth the money and it looks good too.
