I tried using these keys to remove the radio in the glove box of a 2018 VW GTI. And that was the most difficult part of my whole project - installing the Helix sound box in the car. Everything else in the project worked very smoothly and as expected except for this one. It was extremely difficult to insert even into key slots. I had to push hard to get them in far enough to get the radio out. I struggled to get them in far enough to pull the radio out so the keys wouldn't catch in the locking mechanism because after it was difficult to even pull them out I had a bad feeling getting them out. Well, whoops - they clicked twice. If they were genuine VW parts, they were easily removed by pressing the side tabs and pulling out the keys. But since it's poorly designed bullshit, it didn't work at all. Each time they snapped, it took me 2 hours to loosen them using a combination of mini screwdrivers and needle nose pliers. And lots of profanity. Yes, and knocking out the key spoiled this key - it bent beyond repair. So for a job that I could have done in about 2 hours, it took me 6 hours. Yes, it's probably my fault for believing they would work properly. I should have spent a little more and bought genuine VW parts and I would advise you to do the same.
