This Proctor-Silex 4-slice toaster replaces our older Cuisinart model that no longer toasted both sides of the bread evenly. Both are operated manually; This means you are turning the knobs and it will not work with the computer motherboard. This is a great size for small kitchens. He will roast, bake and roast. It comes with a stand and a tray (small pot). I don't really see pastries in this one as it's quite small. But if you want to toast or toast the top of the cinnamon bread (to crystallize the sugar), that should do the trick. Compared to our older, larger model, I find this toaster sufficient for toasting, but not much more. .
