I have had a Sony CD player for many years and never had a problem until last December when it suddenly stopped playing. I googled the player and found that the straps break often so I opened my case and saw this happened so I ordered. These strips arrived quickly and took me about an hour to swap them out (partly because I marked on paper where all the connections went when I removed them) and when I put them back together my player works perfectly. Youtube has good guides on how to change the strap.
