Review on ๐ŸŒธ Nippon Kodo Kayuragi Incense Sticks - The Essence of Japanese Sandalwood: Unparalleled Quality by Haley Johnson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

High quality, low persistence, moderate price, excellent scent

First the good: Clean, transparent, delicate scent of sandalwood. The pleasantly lingering scent creates a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere without the overpowering smell of many other incense sticks I've used. Ideal for meditating or relaxing with friends on a special occasion. This is pure incense with no bamboo or wood core, so the fragrance is not contaminated by those odors. Second, what's bad: they're not cheap and you only get 40 sticks. The sticks are about 5.5 inches long, not the 11 inches most people are used to, and since these sticks don't have a bamboo or wood core, they're very, very fragile (read: they break very easily, so handle them with great care). And probably the most frustrating thing for many is the fact that these sticks burn out very, very, VERY FAST. Finally, overall verdict: I like the sandalwood scent; it is as good as i found it. The problem is that these chopsticks burn out so quickly that if you are indoors (indoors or outdoors) where air is circulating or even a very light breeze is blowing, the soothing scent of sandalwood doesn't last long, which is very pleasant. Much contradicts the main purpose of using incense. I've learned to use it indoors where the air doesn't move much to meditate, but I use other incense sticks elsewhere because it's too expensive to burn for daily use. I love the cleanliness and clean smell of sandalwood. I don't like how fast these sticks burn or the higher cost. I would really like to find an incense stick with this clear clean sandalwood scent that has reasonable longevity. A higher price for such a product would be justified. Overall grade: 3.5.
