Handheld thermal imaging camera for I-Phone

I am satisfied with this thermal imager and it helps me in home repair with weak point isolation for winter and summer. It's also useful for quickly locating hot equipment and "seeing" ductwork and water leaks through drywall and ceilings. With an instant in-frame temperature reading, the camera is also useful for taking a person's forehead temperature or spotting someone in a crowd who may be hotter than everyone else. The battery doesn't seem to last long with prolonged use or multiple projects throughout the day, but it's enough to get the job done. In order to properly overlay and match the visible light image with the infrared image, the camera must be set for the distance to the object, which is difficult to track during a project if you are not at the same distance. Sometimes my phone seems to lose connection to the camera and I have to turn off and restart it to continue. These issues aside, the device is very useful and will help research and improve home heating and cooling, which is my main goal.

Pros
  • HEAT RESOLUTION AND MEASUREMENT: Capture 4800-pixel IR images with a temperature sensitivity of 100mK and measure temperatures from -20Β°C to 120Β°C (-4F to 248F).
Cons
