Hardly worked for tube fittings
I bought a 3/4" male to 1/2" female to connect a garden hose to a shower head pipe. It worked, but I had to tighten it a lot more than I expected to keep it from leaking. I think a brass fitting might be more reliable if I have to keep using it for this purpose.
