Cheap (in terms of how much protein you get, not to mention the quality, which is cheap).

I've been using this protein for two years (I've tried 4-6 glasses so far). Whenever I buy protein, I always calculate protein per serving * number of servings per container / price and Colossal Labs has won over the last two years. .Solubility: I prefer chocolate because I like it better. Chocolate doesn't dissolve well, so if you're looking for a powder that mixes easily, this isn't for you. Method 1: Mix with a spoon in a cup of liquid (I use soy milk, although water and milk work the same). When adding it to a drink, the best result I've found is adding some liquid to the cup. Pour a spoon over the powder. Then pour some more liquid over the powder. Stir slowly at first so the dust doesn't fly everywhere. Then start stirring faster and scrape the bottom/sides of the cup and spoon to ensure all of the powder comes into contact with the liquid. Then let it sit for 5 minutes and then come back and stir/scrape. This time it's ready to drink, but when you drink it, when you swallow it, it tastes like thick chocolate milk. When chewed, you get the taste of really good chocolate chips (the texture reminds me of Oreos soaked in milk). Method 2. Mixing. It actually falls apart well and there are no pieces present. I usually use veggies (like kale, spinach, kale, etc.), creatine, flax or chia seeds, various frozen fruits, powdered soy milk, and sometimes peanut butter, and it's really tasty. It tastes really good no matter what kind of fruit I add, say frozen strawberries, it tastes like strawberry ice cream (with tons of toppings). Flavor: I usually use cold soy milk for Method 1 and it tastes really good (the texture is like raw Oreos in milk). Also for method 1 you can use boiling water and get hot chocolate although I don't really like it. I also like the taste of method 2. Last note. I only buy this protein powder because it gives you the best bang for your buck. I used to eat protein powder by putting a scoop in my mouth and chewing on it, so solubility in general wasn't really that important to me. Even though I like the taste of chocolate, I would still buy it if it tasted shit. Protein powder is a supplement, not a treat. Use in conjunction with a good diet and daily routine and you should be less concerned about solubility or flavor factors. Your main concern should be high protein, low fat/sugar, and if you don't want to spend more, go organic (although I haven't taken that step yet).
